Well Hello There,

Welcome to 2026! A new year is often a time of reflection, renewal, and hope. As we look back on the year that has passed, look back with appreciation for the blessings we have received and the challenges we have overcome together as a faith community.
"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!" (2 Corinthians 5:17)

This month, I invite you to embrace the spirit of new beginnings. Let us recommit ourselves to our shared mission of kindness, compassion, and service. Whether you are new to Columbia Church of God, or have been with us throughout, know that you are valued and that your presence strengthen our fellowship.

In looking back, I would like to share a quick 2025 God story. Did you know on the first Wednesday of every month we now have a group of 5th graders who come here after school to learn more about God? Also, remember in December we were able to bless a local family with gifts at Christmastime? Both were completely random events. As it turned out, one of the after-school students who comes here is also a member of the family we helped!

That was not planned by us, that was God's plan. God is working. We need to stay focused on how He is working around us every day. As we plan for the year ahead, let us remember those in our congregation and community who may need extra support. Reach out with a phone call, a card, or prayer. Together, we can embody the love and care that defines our church family.

May the new year bring you peace, health, and joy. I look forward to all that we will accomplish together in 2026. Thank you for your continued faith, commitment, and generosity.

With blessings,
Pastor Richard
